Clark Contracts has completed the construction of a new business pavilion within Annickbank Innovation Campus in Irvine for North Ayrshire Council.

The state-of-the art pavilion provides around 350 square metres of energy-efficient floorspace, to address the shortage of modern business space within North Ayrshire. The development is targeted at SMEs in life sciences and other sectors, with an aim of supporting local business growth.

The building was constructed with a steel frame, zinc cladding and facing brick external walls, and a standing seam roof and has been designed to allow flexibility and therefore can be sub-divided on a floor-by-floor basis to suit specific requirements.

Annickbank Innovation Campus is an important location within i3 – Scotland’s largest Life Science enterprise area. This pavilion is the fifth new development created at the campus as North Ayrshire Council continues to support business development.

The project received funding from the Vacant and Derelict Fund, North Ayrshire Ventures Trust , the Council’s Investment Fund, the Scottish Government’s Vacant and Derelict Land Investment Programme and Place Based Investment Programme.

The building is low carbon and energy efficient with an EPC rating of A+ and a Platinum sustainability label., which will also support lower occupational running costs.

Michael Scanlan, Director, Clark Contracts said, “It has been great to work with repeat customer North Ayrshire Council to deliver this project and further strengthen our extensive new build business portfolio.”
