Construction, refurbishment and maintenance contractor, Clark Contracts, has welcomed four new Glasgow Caledonian University students into their Academy.
The four new recruits will work full time with the Investors in Young People Gold accredited employer over the next 6 months as part of their degree course at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Three of the students are studying Construction Management and one is studying Quantity Surveying. The placement will provide hands on experience working on real projects alongside experienced colleagues, many of whom have progressed through the Academy themselves.
The new intake of students are the latest recruits into the Clark Contracts Academy joining 26 employees who are also training to gain formal qualifications at college or university. This further strengthens Clark Contracts relationship with Glasgow Caledonian University where Managing Director, Gordon Cunningham, and Directors, Michael Scanlan and Gerry Cummins also studied.
As part of its commitment to the 5% Club, Clark Contracts recruit apprentices and undergraduates every year to ensure new talent is continually developed within the company. Students are supported by the contractor to complete their studies whilst continuing to work at Clark Contracts and many are taken on full time one their course is complete.
