Ten Clark Contracts representatives participated in MacMillan Cancers Glasgow Adrenaline Rush event in Pollok Country Park on Saturday 9th July which saw them battle their way through a mud filled assault course to fundraise for MacMillan Cancer and our nominated company charity, The ACCORD Hospice.

The event in Glasgow’s Pollok Country Park, was one of four across the UK with others taking place in London, Manchester and Bristol all with a 5k or 10k option, both of which were packed with obstacles.

The Clark Contracts team opted for the 10k route and set off in the 1st wave of runners at 10.30am. Throughout the course they had to battle obstacles including monkey bars, camouflage nets, giant balls, an inverted wall climb and a log walk balance.

Some of the more unusual obstacles included climbing through the frame of bungee ropes in ‘Snakes Wedding’, crawling over and under wooden barricades in ‘Tank Busters’, jumping from a 5m high net onto an airbag in ‘The Leap of Faith’ and running up a curved wall in ‘Quarter Pipe’.

As our runners chose to do the 10k route, they had to run the entire course twice and by the second time the course had gotten even muddier, but everyone managed to complete the race within 2 hours having raised over £600 for MacMillan Cancer and The ACCORD Hospice.
