Having made it through the Professional Services heat in January, our Business Fives football team took part in the national final which took place at the Oriam Centre, Edinburgh on Thursday 9th February.
Business Fives is a national five a side tournament with heats undertaken in the East and West of Scotland. Participants include those from sectors including Financial Services, Hospitality, Construction and Trades, Technology and IT.
Our group on the final day of the competition comprised Anderson Strathern, Nairns Oatcakes and William Tracey. Having won 5–0 against Nairns Oatcakes, our team were defeated 2–3 by Anderson Strathern then won 3-1 against William Tracey.
Following this, our team were beaten by RBS in the quarter final having taken the game to sudden death penalties. RBS then went on to win the tournament.
The event helped raise £2,500 for the Street Soccer Scotland charity.
Other participants included our client Edinburgh Airport, IBM, Standard Life and Burness Paul.
