We held our 4th annual Spring Classic on Friday 15th May at Loch Katrine, by Aberfoyle. The event was attended by 24 guests made up of clients and design teams and the Clark Contracts team of 6 cyclists.
The cyclists completed the Cat 4 Hill Climb which is over 3 miles long with the completion times ranging from 11 minutes and 43 seconds to 17 minutes. The winner of the polka dot jersey was Robert Kennedy of Holmes Miller! There was a short rest at the top of the hill where the cyclists gathered before a group ride to the starting point for the time trial.
Having taken in some of the scenic views around Loch Ard and Loch Chon, the cyclists gathered for the second competitive element of the day. By this point the heavens had opened and created some tricky cycling conditions for the competitors taking part in the time trial. Despite the challenging elements, the fastest time recorded for the 3 mile time trial was an impressive 8 minutes and 30 seconds by Alan Affleck of RSP Consulting.
The coveted yellow jersey was won by Mike McGlinchey of Pinsent Masons who recorded a combined time for the Hill Climb and Time Trial of 20 minutes and 24 seconds.
