Clark Contracts has been awarded a fifth consecutive Order of Distinction in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)’s Health and Safety Awards 2025.
To receive the Order of Distinction, Clark Contracts demonstrated excellent occupational health and safety management systems, a rigorous approach to occupational health, a continued high level of performance and compliance with control measures, demonstrating its dedication to keeping employees safe at work.
The Order of Distinction is awarded to those companies who have achieved 15 or more consecutive Gold Medal Awards from RoSPA.
Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts, said: “We are honoured to receive our 19th RoSPA Award and fifth consecutive Order of Distinction. This recognition from one of the UK’s most prestigious health and safety bodies is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our employees. We remain dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in occupational health and safety across all aspects of our operations.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said: “Clark Contracts should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Award, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace. RoSPA regards Clark Contracts as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.
Dee Arp, NEBOSH Chief Quality Officer and the Head Judge of the RoSPA Awards, said: “NEBOSH is delighted to be the headline sponsor of the RoSPA Awards. Recognising excellence in health and safety is essential to ensure we celebrate achievement, but it is also about reinforcing a culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement. These awards serve as a powerful reminder that employee safety and wellbeing transcends borders and looking after our people, so they can go home safe, healthy and happy every day, also drives sustainable success and resilience.”
Sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK, and receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for the health and safety industry.
The majority of awards mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals, president’s awards, orders of distinction and the Patron’s Award are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.
