Clark Contracts has been selected as a finalist in the ‘Training Excellence’ category of the 2017 Construction News Awards.
The Paisley based construction, refurbishment and maintenance contractor is the only company who is registered in Scotland to join the UK wide shortlist of 138 organisations across 19 different categories.
Clark Contracts’ entry covers achievements in 2016, featuring its pioneering work with Glasgow Caledonian University in developing a new Masters programme and the work of its Academy on e-learning, mentoring, supply chain initiatives and developing bespoke skills assessments for apprentices. The company also achieved Gold accreditation as Investors in Young People and the President’s Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

As one of the UK’s most highly regarded construction awards programmes, the Construction News Awards is this year celebrating 21 years of recognising the very best contractors in the UK.

Before the awards, all finalists will attend face-to-face judging by members of the 60-strong jury, made up of the UK’s most influential clients and experts.
The winners will be announced on 13 July 2017 at a glamorous ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, attended by over 1,400 of the industry’s elite will join together for a night of entertainment, celebration and networking.
