We are continuing our relationship with Lidl having been awarded 3 contracts with the supermarket chain in 2016. We have been on Lidls’ framework since 2014 and have been awarded four contract through this agreement so far.

We completed our first project for the supermarket giant in 2015, which involved the construction and internal fit out of a new 1,800m2 store in Livingston followed by the demolition of the existing store.

Early in 2016 we were awarded a further 2 projects for Lidl, the first of these was the construction of a new 2,350m2 store in Greenock allowing the existing store to relocate to a larger outlet. This project is currently on site with a scheduled completion date of October 2016.

The second was for a project at Lidl Arbroath, where we are constructing two single storey extensions to provide a new bakery area, freezer units, toilet facilities and a larger storage area for deliveries. The majority of this project is being carried out whilst the store remains operational with a short closure to accommodate the final stages of the project.

We have also recently been awarded a fourth project with Lidl which is a new build store in Craigmillar, Edinburgh to relocate the existing store as part of the town centres regeneration. This project started on site at the end of May and the new store will open its doors to shoppers in March 2017.

All projects have been registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme which is a voluntary scheme designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements in the construction industry.
