Clark Contracts to construct new £2.6m office block

North Ayrshire Council have appointed Clark Contracts to deliver a new £2.6m office development on one of Irvine’s busiest streets.
The development is the first stage of £5m regeneration of Quarry Road which includes plans for a 3G football arena, playing fields and potentially a cinema.
The two-storey building, which was approved by planning chiefs in August 2016, will be based adjacent to Irvine Bay Gymnastics Club and will be the new home for KA Leisure and Ayrshire Business Gateway once it’s complete.
The design and build contract is due to commence on site in February with a 45 week programme. Clark Contracts will deliver a number of work placements and trainee positions for individuals from North Ayrshire as part of the community benefits plan for this project.
Director, Michael Scanlan said, “We are excited to be working with North Ayrshire Council on the first stage of this regeneration which will provide improved facilities for local businesses and the community.”
