Construction underway at East Hermiston Business Park
9th January 2017 By Clark Contracts Ltd
The City of Edinburgh Council have appointed Clark Contracts to construct a new Business Park at Cutlins Road, Edinburgh.
The £1.7m investment, is a result of research by the council identifying a shortage of industrial space within the city and an increase in demand.
Clark Contracts have been on site since November constructing 5 new steel-framed industrial units which will be split into 2 blocks of 2 units and 3 blocks of 4 units to provide 16 new workshop units.
Scheduled for completion in Summer 2017, the development, which will be named “East Hermiston Business Park”, will create a total of 17, 200sq. ft. of industrial space.
The units have been designed to meet best practice standards for sustainability and have excellent transport links being located only minutes from both the M8 and Edinburgh Park Rail Station.
Director, Michael Scanlan said “We are looking forward to delivering this project in partnership with The City of Edinburgh Council to provide facilities to allow the growth of businesses within the city.”
