Two Clark Contracts employees have graduated with BSc Honours degrees from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Site Manager, Gavin, joined the business in 2021 to complete his 6-month work placement as part of his degree. Upon completion of this placement, Gavin was offered a permanent position with Clark Contracts and completed the remainder of his degree on a part-time basis. So far, he has been involved in delivery of the refurbishment of the Govanhill Baths and Paisley Arts Centre, both category B listed buildings, which has provided him with valuable hands on experience of managing live construction sites.
Quantity Surveyor, Lewis, joined Clark Contracts Construction Division earlier this year and is graduating with a BSc Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying. Lewis has been involved in the delivery of has been involved in delivery of the refurbishment of Govanhill Baths and Letham Community and Wellbeing Hub, which has allowed him to apply the skills learnt at university to practical situations before officially graduating.
