On Friday 7th April, we held a golf themed fundraising event in our Paisley and Edinburgh offices to raise money for our nominated company charity, Parkinson’s UK.

The event was arranged to tie in with Parkinson’s Awareness Week which runs between 10th and 16th April 2017 and the golf theme was chosen to coincide with the US Masters.

All employees were encouraged to come to work in their best golf fancy dress and there were various chances to win some prizes throughout the day including guess the number of tee’s, a costume parade and a raffle which ensured an employee from each division won a prize.

In the afternoon, Jan Mattison, who is Parkinson’s UK’s Fundraiser for the West of Scotland, visited our head office in Paisley to judge the competition for best dressed, which went to the creative ‘9 iron’ and to draw our raffle which had prizes including both a Spa Day for two and a 4 ball of golf at the Westerwood Hotel.

In total we raised over £500, which was matched by the company meaning a total of £1,000 will be donated to Parkinson’s UK who use donations to drive better care, treatment and quality of life for those suffering from the disease. You can find out more about the work they do on their website.
