On Friday 28th October, we held a Halloween Fancy Dress Day where staff dressed up in their best costumes to raise money for our new nominated company charity, Parkinson’s UK.
There were various events throughout the day including dooking for apples, pumpkin carving, a costume parade and a Grand Prize Raffle! Those competing for the Best Costume Prize, included a gingerbread man, a vampire, minions, convicts and Doctor Who!
We had Jan Mattison, who is Parkinson’s UK’s Fundraiser for the West of Scotland visit our head office in Paisley to judge the competitions for best costume, best pumpkin carving and to draw the Grand Prize Raffle where the top prize up for grabs was an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast in the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.
In total we raised over £500 which was matched by the company meaning £1,000 will be donated to Parkinson’s UK who use donations to drive better care, treatment and quality of life for those suffering from the disease. You can read more about the work they do on their website.
