On Friday 1st November, Clark Contracts held a Halloween fundraising event across their East and West Offices for nominated company charity, Teenage Cancer Trust which included a fancy dress competition and a bake sale.
Some of the costumes included Cowboy Builders, a Fried Breakfast, Witches and Wizards, a Pirate, a Leopard and Zombies. We also had guest appearances from Po the Teletubby, Dennis the Menace, Steve Irwin, Shrek, Rod Stewart and Ron Burgundy, with the Best Team prize being awarded to the Fried Breakfast and best individual to Ron Burgundy!
A bake sale, with some gruesome cakes was held from lunchtime and later in the day an employee from each department and division took on the ‘Jaffa Cake Challenge’, competing to see who could eat the most jaffa cakes in one minute.
A raffle was also held, with a prize of an additional day’s holiday for the winner!
A total of £362 was raised for Teenage Cancer Trust, which was matched by the company bringing the total Clark Contracts has raised for the charity to over £16,500. Having started their partnership in April 2018, funds have been raised through a mixture of office fundraising events and participation in events including the Great Scottish Run, Tough Mudder and the Inverclyde Leisure Triathlon.
Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts added: “As we reach the end of our partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust, we are delighted to have exceeded our initial target of raising £10,000 for the charity and it is great to see our employees continue to support these events.”
