The refurbishment of Lady Alice Primary School is being completed by Clark Contracts for Inverclyde Council.
Following the completion of a competitive tender process, Clark Contracts were awarded the £2.8m contract for the refurbishment and extension of the Primary School situated on Old Inverkip Road in Greenock.
Construction, refurbishment and maintenance contractor, Clark Contracts, will deliver an extension to form a dining area, new entrance areas, upgrade of the playground area and internal refurbishment of the school which was originally built in 1937.
Michael Scanlan, Director, Clark Contracts, said “We have worked with Inverlcyde Council on a number of projects recently and it is fantastic to further develop our relationship with the council. This project further enhances our extensive education sector project experience as we are currently on site delivering £4m of Nursery School projects for the City of Edinburgh Council and have recently completed £8m of school projects for Renfrewshire Council in Paisley”.
The project is registered with the Considerate Constructor's Scheme which is a voluntary scheme designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements in the construction industry.
Clark Contracts has delivered multiple projects in Greenock including construction of the new Lidl supermarket, refurbishment of Custom House for Riverside Inverclyde and the contractor is currently on site delivering the refurbishment of the Former Police Court and Former Education building, both for Inverclyde Council.
