New Tennis Centre being constructed by Clark Contracts
10th April 2017 By Clark Contracts Ltd
The University of St Andrews has appointed Clark Contracts to construct a new indoor Tennis Centre within the Saints Sport Centre at the university’s main campus.
The £2.3m project, which started on site in March, will see the construction, refurbishment, fit out and maintenance contractor construct a new 4,000ft2 single storey steel framed building.
Scheduled for completion in August 2017, the new facility will house 4 indoor tennis courts which will be constructed to the approved standards of the Lawn Tennis Association who are part funders of the development.
The new centre will link directly to the existing sports facilities, with an existing corridor forming the link between the new and existing complex.
The facilities will complete a major seven year investment in the university’s facilities as they have already constructed a new arena and completed the refurbishment and extension of the existing centre.
Director, Michael Scanlan, said, “We are delighted to be working with the University of St Andrews again to deliver the final stage of this development which will provide improved facilities for both students and the wider community.”
Clark Contracts is also currently on site delivering the £500k refurbishment of the university’s Angus and Stanley Smith Houses student accommodation.
