Clark Contracts 3rd annual Spring Classic Cycle took place on Friday 16th May at Loch Katrine. The event was attended by 21 of our Customers and the Clark Contracts Team was made up of Gerry Cummins, Iain Blair and Michael Scanlan.
The cycle started from the Loch Katrine car park with a group ride leading to the start of the Dukes Pass where the timed hill climb took place. This classic hill climb is rated as a Cat 4 climb at over 3 miles long and was completed by the majority of competitors in less than 15 minutes! The polka-dot jersey was secured by Tim Griffin of Michael Laird Architects!
Following a quick pit stop at the top of the hill, the cyclists re-grouped for a leisurely group cycle to the start of the time trial.
With Bradley Wiggins unable to attend the top spot was up for grabs. The winner of the 3 mile time trial was Mike McGlinchey of Pinsent Masons with a time of 8 minutes and 50 seconds.
Having refuelled by the banks of Loch Katrine the group cycled off the beaten track returning to the starting point. With a combined time of 18 minutes and 59 seconds, the winning Jersey was presented to Sandy Anderson of Michael Laird Architects.
