Over the weekend of the 18th and 19th of August, 18 Clark Contracts employees participated in two events to fundraise for nominated company charity Teenage Cancer Trust.

First up were the 12 employees taking part in the 5k and 10k courses at Rough Runner which was held at Penicuik Estate on Saturday 18th August. Following a week of rain, the runners took on the muddy course whilst tackling obstacles including the ‘Fearless Fall’, ‘Big Tipper’, ‘Ramp it Up’ and ‘Buoy Zone’ before taking on the Travelator at the end of the course.

On Sunday 19th August, two teams (made up of one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner) entered the Inverclyde Leisure Team Triathlon which consisted of a half mile swim, 10 mile cycle and a 5k run.

The Clark Contracts ‘seniors’ with an average age of 48, completed the race with a total time of 1 hour, 5minutes and 37 seconds, whilst the Clark Contracts ‘Youth’ completed the triathlon with a time of 1 hour, 14 minutes and 6 seconds.

In addition to the £3,600 Clark Contracts has already raised for Teenage Cancer Trust, these two events led to over £600 being raised and donations can still be made here.
