14th July 2017 By Clark Contracts Ltd
Three industry leading health and safety authorities from the UK construction industry have recognised construction, refurbishment and maintenance contractor, Clark Contracts, for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.
For the 14th year running, the company has been awarded accreditation from SafeContractor, the leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.
Clark Contracts has also been awarded Construction Health and Safety (CHAS) for the 11th consecutive year. CHAS is an established market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK.
The main contractor has been presented a third Safety accreditation from Altius, which reinforces their commitment to achieving the highest level of health and safety.
Clark Contracts’ application for the SafeContractor, CHAS and Altius accreditations was driven by the company’s desire for a uniform standard across the business.
Clark Contracts also received the President’s Award from RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) in 2016 following 10 consecutive gold medal awards.
Gemma Archibald, Director of Alcumus SafeContractor said: "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place."
"More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Clark Contracts has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
