We are looking to recruit a reliable and well-organised Van Driver & Materials Coordinator to support a wide range of live projects across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and coordination skills and a proactive, hands-on approach. You will play a key role in ensuring materials, logistics and transport are managed efficiently, helping projects run smoothly from start to finish.
Role & Responsibilities
- Transport & Logistics
- Safely and efficiently deliver and collect materials between company sites and external locations across the country.

- Materials & Surplus Store Management
- Coordinate and manage the surplus and stored materials, ensuring items are clearly labelled, organised, and easily accessible.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming, outgoing, and stored materials.
- Identify opportunities to reuse surplus materials and minimise waste.
- Stock Visibility & Team Communication
- Proactively communicate with the wider team regarding what materials are available, surplus, or required.
- Update relevant systems or logs so site teams have real-time visibility of stock. (I am exploring a spreadsheet system for this).
- Liaise with site managers and project teams to anticipate upcoming material needs.
- Scheduling & Time Management
- Plan routes and daily workloads in line with the allocation diary.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple collections and deliveries while meeting project deadlines.
- Adapt schedules flexibly in response to urgent requests or changing priorities.
- Flexibility & Nationwide Support
- Be flexible and willing to travel across the country to support operational requirements.
- Respond positively to short-notice changes and varying site demands.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all health and safety procedures when handling, storing, and transporting materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, road transport regulations, and site-specific rules.

- Hold a full UK Driving Licence, with confidence in driving company vehicles and carrying out deliveries and collections across multiple sites as required.
