On Friday 15th May, Clark Contracts hosted its 14th annual Spring Classic cycling event at Loch Katrine, raising £3,000 for their nominated company charity, Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH).
The event welcomed over 50 cyclists from across the construction industry and featured a 30-mile route around the banks of Loch Katrine.
With sunshine throughout the day, riders competed in two challenging sections, including a three-mile Category 3 hill climb at Dukes Pass, followed by a three-mile time trial at Loch Chon. After completing the competitive stages, participants regrouped at Stronachlacher for refreshments ahead of the prize-giving ceremony.
Awards were presented across multiple categories including; Best Hill Climb, Best Time Trial, Best Overall Woman, Best Overall Man, and Best Overall Team, recognising both individual and team performances.
Following the prize-giving, cyclists completed the final stretch of the route around the north of Loch Katrine before returning to Trossachs Pier.
