Who Are We?

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Small Works, Retail, Housing, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. ​We employ over 250 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

We are now recruiting for our 2025 trade apprenticeship intake and are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for Joinery, both in the East and West of Scotland.

As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled tradespeople while attending college to develop the essential knowledge and qualifications needed to become a fully qualified Joiner.

Closing date for applications is Friday 25th April, and we will be conducting the first series of Assessment Sessions in May. We will then select applicants to progress to final stage interviews. Following the interview process, successful candidates will start in July/August 2025.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong numeracy and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong academic qualifications
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision
  • Quick learners with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assisting qualified tradesperson with various construction activities
  • Complying with the company’s general health, safety and welfare policies in the workplace
  • Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment

Candidate

  • Excellent time management and punctuality
  • A passion for construction and a strong work ethic
  • Strong teamwork and independent working skills
  • A flexible approach to working across different sites

 

A full UK driver’s licence is not essential but would be an advantage.
