Preservation Surveyor

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with six operating divisions; Construction, Retail, Fit Out, Small Works, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. We employ over 220 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

 

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Maintenance Division for a CSRT qualified Surveyor to join the business. 

 

Role & Responsibilities

• Understand building structures and identify defects
• Undertake site surveys on social housing properties paying particular attention to damp, mould and condensation issues.
• Compile detailed schedules of works, including appropriate breakdowns, sketches and photographs.
• Liaise with clients, tenants and homeowners through face-to-face surveys
• Can assist our Contracts Managers seamlessly, from survey through to completion
• Maintain excellent working relationships and enjoy being part of a team

 

Candidate

• Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT), Certificated Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB) or certificated surveyor in timber and dampness in buildings (CSTDB) would be essential
• Self-motivated, professional and enthusiastic
• Hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence

• Strong academic background, with a focus on mathematics.
• Comfortable in ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative.
• IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

 

This role will be based in our Edinburgh office.
