Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with six operating divisions; Construction, Retail, Fit Out, Small Works, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. We employ over 220 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

 

We are now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our Construction Division.

 

Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Estimating Manager the successful candidate will:

• Prepare and submit tenders in accordance with the business aims and minimising commercial risk.
• Work closely with the Contracts Management and Quantity Surveying departments to ensure the profitability of contracts.
• Fully embrace the companies Customers 1st campaign to continually improve the way we deal with our Customers.
• Actively develop strong relationships with both client and supply chain partners.

 

Candidate

Ideally the successful candidate will:

• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in an estimating role within contracting organisation focused on winning tenders at a 'better than industry average' hit rates.
• Be comfortable working with minimal supervision and ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative.
• Be able to show track record of performing within a performance management environment.
• Previous experience working with Conquest estimating software, or similar, an advantage.
• Have good communication skills. 

 

This is a full time, permanent position and it will be based at our Paisley Office.
