Trainee Estimator

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Small Works, Retail, Housing, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. ​We employ over 220 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

We have exciting opportunities for Trainee Estimators to join our team. Whether you're a recent school leaver, currently pursuing a relevant degree, or a recent or soon-to-be graduate, we’d love to hear from you.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assisting a team of Estimators within the Company.
  • Work closely with Contracts Management and Estimating departments.
  • Take active role in Clark Contracts Supply Chain Management Initiative to ensure relationships are developed with subcontractors.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong academic background, with a focus on mathematics.
  • The ability to solve problems by acting on own initiative.
  • Be IT literate with excellent knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
  • Be self-motivated and proactive.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to integrate and play an active part in our project teams.
