Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Small Works, Retail, Housing, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. ​We employ over 220 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.

 

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Finance Assistant to join our finance department.  This role would ideally suit a recent school leaver that has an interest in working within a fast paced finance department. The successful candidate will complete a Modern Apprenticeship in a related subject.

 

Role & Responsibilities

Duties will include but not be limited to

 

• Processing invoices
• Receipting of deliveries
• Dealing with any invoice discrepancies
• Processing purchase ledger payment runs
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Dealing with any supplier queries
• Dealing with some internal telephone orders
• Assist Payroll with timesheet processing
• Assist with vehicle management

 

The Candidate

To be considered you must:

 

• Be IT literate
• Have good communication skills
• Be confident
• Have a willingness to learn and develop.
