Works comprised of the complete £7.9m refurbishment of the existing decanted school premises including the replacement of all the existing services, boilers plus the construction of a new external water tank room following the demolition of the existing tank room located on the existing roof.

The existing roof was also completely recovered with a single ply membrane including the installation of new "Mansafe System" plus new access ladders to the various levels.

The internal works comprised of the full refurbishment and remodelling of all areas plus the construction of a new external lift shaft and the replacement of all the existing windows which was added to the contract 4 months after the works commenced.

As part of the refurbishment works all the existing ceilings, floor coverings were renewed plus all the existing furniture was either refurbished with the addition of new worktops or completely replaced with new bespoke classroom room and laboratory furniture including the installation of a new reception desk to the office are.
