Clark Contracts has completed the £2.5m refurbishment and extension of the Category B listed, Ormiston Primary School for East Lothian Council.
A new two-storey extension was formed, which provides additional teaching space, in the form of two classrooms, general purpose space, new toilets, cloakrooms and storage facilities.
The internal refurbishment has provided larger dining space, upgraded kitchen facilities and new toilets. The playground space has also been upgraded.
This has increased the school’s capacity, which will be required due to an anticipated increase in the school’s pupil roll over the coming years.
Michael Scanlan, Director of Clark Contracts, said, “We have enjoyed working with East Lothian Council and the design team, to complete this refurbishment of Ormiston Primary School, which has increased the school’s capacity, whilst also provided improved facilities for staff and pupils.”
