Last month, Clark Contracts recognised long-serving Senior Contracts Manager, John Keenan, as he retired from the business.

John has retired following 20 years at Clark Contracts and over 45 years within the construction industry.

Having joined Clark Contracts Construction Division as a Contracts Manager in 2005, John’s first project was the £5m construction of a rehabilitation services and disabled living centre at the Astley Ainslie Hospital in Morningside, Edinburgh for NHS Lothian. Over the years John delivered over £135m of projects across all sectors.

He was then promoted to Senior Contracts Manager in 2023 and has since overseen the design and build of a 257-bed student accommodation on Mayfield Road in Edinburgh, construction of new 126,960 sq. ft. industrial and distribution unit within Belgrave Logistics Park, Bellshill and the construction of two industrial units within Langlands Commercial Park, East Kilbride.

To mark his retirement, and thank him for his service, John was presented with a gift voucher for a home improvement store.

Director, Michael Scanlan, said, "John has been a highly valued member of our team for the past 20 years, and we wish him all the best in his retirement. He will be missed by all of his colleagues who have worked with him during that time."
