Site Manager – Housing

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Refurbishment, Small Works, Housing, and Maintenance. We employ over 280 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.
As we continue to grow and secure exciting new housing projects, we are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in residential construction to lead the successful delivery of high-quality housing developments across Scotland.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that housing projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of workmanship.
- Managing and coordinating all site activities, including supervising subcontractors and direct labour.
- Overseeing all site documentation, progress reporting, and programme management. Leading site meetings with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Monitoring and maintaining quality, ensuring full compliance with specifications, drawings, and building regulations.
- Managing materials, site logistics, and cost control in line with project objectives.
- Promoting and fully embracing the company’s Customers 1st campaign to continually improve the way we deal with our residents and clients.
Candidate
To be considered for this position, candidates should:
- Have proven experience managing housing or residential construction projects from inception through to completion.
- Possess excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Project experience advantageous).
- Display a strong commitment to Health & Safety and quality standards.
- Have detailed knowledge of NHBC and Building Control requirements.
- Show enthusiasm for contributing to a collaborative, forward-thinking team within a leading main contractor.
