Gordon started his career in 1988 at Doig & Smith where he qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. After 7 years he then moved on to work in one of Scotland’s best known Construction and Fit Out contractors before moving to Clark Contracts in 1999 as General Manager, Deputy Managing Director and then Managing Director in 2005.
Gerry Cummins - Director
Gerry joined Clark Contracts as a Graduate in Quantity Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2004. Gerry progressed from Assistant Quantity Surveyor to Quantity Surveyor then Commercial Manager, before joining the management team in 2010 when he was appointed Business Unit Manager and Director in August 2013.
Gerry is responsible for our Small Works Division, delivering projects up to £1m and our Fit Out Division who deliver projects from £1m to £10m. He is also responsible for our Manufactured Joinery Division.
Michael Scanlan - Director
Michael trained as a Quantity Surveyor at Wakemans Quantity Surveyors. He then spent time at a major Scottish main contractor before moving to Barbados for 4 years where he was General Manager of a design and build contractor delivering projects up to $120m. He started at Clark Contracts in 2006 as a Quantity Surveyor, progressing to Senior Quantity Surveyor and then Commercial Manager before being appointed as Business Unit Manager for Construction Division in 2011 before joining the Board of Directors in 2013.
Michael oversees the delivery of Construction and Retail projects between £1m - £20m and has been instrumental in the strategic development of our design and build offering.
John Mooney - Finance Director
John trained as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young from 1985-1989. He then moved to a regional main contractor for 6 years before joining Clark Contracts as Financial Controller, and has been Finance Director since 2001.
John is responsible for all areas of Finance and HR within the company. Additionally, John manages our Customer’s 1st Initiative which our unique customer service initiative which aims to continually improve the way all of our employees deal with customers.
