Four future leaders of Scotland’s building and construction sector have won awards sponsored by leading construction firm Clark Contracts. The four were recognised at the Annual Prize Giving of the School of Engineering and Built Environment at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU).
We have completed three phases of work to the Category A listed Custom House, Greenock, refurbishing and modernising the building, which dates back to 1818, whilst preserving its original character.
We are on site delivering the first phase of redevelopment work at Denny Town Centre for Falkirk Council totalling £4.7m.
We recently handed over our completed project at Cumbrae House, Glasgow, which involved the major refurbishment and fit out of the 5 storey, partially occupied office block in order to create a new centre and Head Quarter for Prince’s Trust, creating Scotland’s biggest youth employment and enterprise hub.
We completed the construction of a 4,300 sq ft learning facility at Sky’s existing Kirkton Campus in Livingston. The new Sky Academy Skills Studio is a purpose built teaching and studio facility specifically designed to cater for visiting school parties of student/pupils.
Our Small Works Division have now completed the refurbishment of 56 Cancer Research UK stores as part of the Scottish store re fit framework which we have been working on since July 2013.
Clark Contracts held their first ‘Denim Day’ in September 2015. Colleagues were encouraged to don their double denim for the day and take part in some fundraising events with the proceeds being donated to Clark Contracts local nominated charity the ACCORD Hospice.
Leading fleet management and leasing provider, Fleet Alliance, has replaced a large percentage of the light commercial fleet at busy construction, refurbishment and maintenance company, Clark Contracts.
Sixty new jobs have been created by Clark Contracts, the construction, refurbishment and maintenance contractor, to support its continued growth across Scotland.
Clark Contracts has kick started the careers of four individuals in construction.
The new joinery apprentices, who make up the first half of Clark Contracts’ intake of apprentices in 2015, will be mentored by colleagues who also began their careers as apprentices with the company and have now progressed through the company’s training programme to become Site Supervisors and Site Managers.
